Introduction

NPCC’s area of operation covers 1000,000 square miles, including the states of Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, and the District of Columbia, as well as the eastern Canadian provinces of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Quebec.

NPCC’s main activities include:

  1. Developing and enforcing reliability standards: NPCC develops and enforces regional reliability standards to ensure that the power system in its jurisdiction operates safely and reliably.
